How to cook?
There are several basic recipes for preparing a healthy mixture.
Mixture for internal use (for runny nose, cough, sore throat)
You will need fresh horseradish root. If you can’t find it in the store, try asking summer residents and gardeners, horseradish grows in almost every garden, or look at the “green” market. note that the root must be fresh. You do not need a shriveled, sluggish root.
It is better to use fresh honey, which has not had time to be candied. The proportions are as follows: for 100 grams of grated horseradish you need exactly twice as much honey, that is, 200 grams. The root is washed, dried with a napkin, cleaned and rubbed or crushed with a blender into gruel. With honey mix gradually, thoroughly stirring the mixture. It is put in the refrigerator closed and consumed 50-60 grams per dose up to 3 times a day before meals.
Honey horseradish and milk (for diseases of blood vessels, respiratory organs, digestion)
This drink is prepared using hot milk. For a glass of milk (do not bring it to a boil!) You need two tablespoons of fresh honey and one teaspoon of grated horseradish root. Some people add another teaspoon of fresh onion juice, but this is optional. It is also recommended to add a spoonful of butter to the drink. Need to take it warm 80-100 grams per dose before meals up to three times a day.
In addition to the fact that the recovery will go faster, a pleasant "bonus" will be the reduction of bad breath, if it was - the strong antibacterial properties of honey and horseradish will contribute to this after the first applications.
Horseradish with honey (for external use for skin and joint ailments, as well as for stomatitis - for rinsing)
This drink has an ancient history, but we offer it exclusively for external use, since it contains alcohol. In a glass of vodka, add three teaspoons of grated horseradish, finely chopped horseradish leaves, and three tablespoons of honey. The mixture is tightly closed and put in a dark, cold place (for example, in a refrigerator) to infuse. After 10-12 days, the remedy is ready.
With stomatitis, you can add a little tincture to the water and rinse your mouth, for skin ailments, rubbing with tincture is used, and for joint diseases, lotions with such a remedy.
A decoction of horseradish and honey (for bronchitis, cystitis, hypertension)
Horseradish root must be grated. 150 grams of gruel will require 200 grams of water (hot, but not boiling water!). Horseradish is infused in water until cool, filtered and honey is added to the finished liquid. Ready drink should be stored in the refrigerator and take a few tablespoons before each meal.
Compresses
To properly make compresses on the neck or back when coughing or on a sore joint, you should take 200 grams of horseradish gruel and only about 100 grams of warmed honey. It is important that the honey is exactly warm, otherwise there will be no benefit from a warming compress.
The mixture is prepared immediately before use, not for future use. The duration of the procedure should not exceed 20 minutes.
Recommendations for use
If you decide to cook horseradish honey or honey horseradish just to support your immunity, you should know that there is no need to constantly apply the mixture. Traditional medicine recommended take it in courses. Our distant ancestors ate horseradish and honey during the fasting period to support the body at a time when the body was depleted due to insufficient nutrition that did not contain animal fats.
The mixture was a source of vitamins and a tonic. You can follow the same rule too. Take a mixture or drink based on honey and horseradish for a month, after which take a break for 1-2 months.
For the prevention of viral diseases and colds, start taking funds a few weeks before the onset of the season of mass morbidity (during the cold season). Remember that there are no effective means of preventing viral infections - neither official nor non-traditional medicine has the means to help, for example, protect a child from the flu.
Therefore, the only more or less effective means is considered to be vaccination - the flu shot. When eating horseradish with honey, do not forget that such a remedy needs to be done by the child and all family members.
For colds, coughs, runny nose
For colds and coughs, you can take honey and horseradish remedies inside - both in the form of a thick classic mixture, and in the form of drinks based on these components. With a dry, unproductive cough, when a person cannot cough up, sputum is difficult to come out, compresses can be applied to the chest and back. Wherein it is important to avoid the heart area both in front and behind. It is not subject to heating.
Be sure to consider body temperature. If it is high, in no case should you make a warm compress. This will disrupt thermoregulation and cause complications.
In other cases, be sure to consult a doctor - not every cough can be cured with compresses. Do not neglect the recommended medicines and physical procedures, do not try to replace medicines with folk recipes - this is dangerous.
With hypertension
Hypertensive patients are often met with advice to drink horseradish - a tablespoon in the morning and evening. But in this case, you should forget about driving and decent work - a person who constantly smells of alcohol is unlikely to inspire confidence among partners, colleagues and traffic police inspectors. That's why it is better to use water tincture on honey and grated horseradish. It is best to take it before meals. The course of treatment should not exceed 1 month. Be sure to take a break after that.
As in the case of other diseases, hypertensive patients should not refuse the treatment offered by the therapist or cardiologist in favor of folk remedies. By itself, the honey-horseradish mixture will not help bring blood pressure levels back to normal, but as one of the methods as part of complex treatment, it may well alleviate the condition.
For male diseases
We are, of course, talking about erectile dysfunction. It is very important to visit a doctor before you start drinking honey with horseradish, because impotence can be caused by a variety of reasons - from chronic stress to genital infections. And in the case of genital infections, varicocele, prostatitis, alternative medicine is completely powerless.
Men who want to maintain their potency, both a classic thick mixture of a tablespoon several times a day and drinks (without alcohol) based on these ingredients are recommended. Do not try to use a topical agent on the reproductive organs (there have been cases when men, in the hope of a miraculous cure, received severe irritation and chemical burns of intimate places!).
To strengthen men's health, it is important for the representative of the stronger sex to give up bad habits, walk more, move, eat right. The course of treatment in an alternative way is one and a half months with a break of 2-3 months.
When losing weight
Traditional medicine claims that a spoonful of the mixture on an empty stomach every day before meals 3-4 times a day after 4 weeks will give a visible result - fat "reserves" will begin to disappear. Make sure you do at least something else for this, for example, eating right fractionally, exercising. Just don't hope for hell and honey. They really activate the metabolism somewhat, but they will not solve the problem of your weight for you. That's why the tool must be used in combination with other methods of weight loss.
It is better if the diet is compiled by a qualified nutritionist who will take into account all your indications and contraindications.
If you plan to prepare drinks and horseradish-honey concoctions in the winter, store your horseradish properly.
It will be better to place the roots (unwashed and unpeeled, of course!) in a plastic bucket filled with wet sand. The bucket is best placed in the cellar. Under such conditions, they will retain their “shape” longer, you will receive a fresh, healthy and healing drink or mixture at any time of the year for use at your own discretion.
