Then the mass is transferred to the pan and again put on a low fire. Boil for about half an hour, stirring regularly. Pour the finished dogwood jam into sterilized containers and roll up the lid. You can store closed jars in the pantry or on the balcony. Open - only in the refrigerator.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon adds a spicy flavor to any dish. Sour jam combined with cinnamon will appeal to lovers of sweet and sour foods.

Components:

  • 1 kg dogwood;
  • 1 kg of granulated sugar;
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar;
  • 1 tsp cinnamon.

Thoroughly grind everything, separating the pulp from the seeds.Next, you need to introduce a sweetener, mix everything thoroughly and return to the stove again. Boil the mixture for forty minutes, then remove from heat and put on the window to cool for twelve hours. Return the bowl to a slow fire and heat the jam for about half an hour. Pour vanilla sugar with cinnamon and mix all the ingredients. Raise the heat to medium and let the jam simmer for a little over five minutes, then pour into sterilized jars.

Without cooking

Cornel jam can be made without cooking. This method is much faster than all the others, but the taste of the jam does not suffer, and the beneficial substances are preserved much better. Dogwood jam without cooking is made from overripe berries, saturated with juice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg dogwood;
  • 1.5 kg of granulated sugar.

Rinse the fruits in cold water and lay to dry on a kitchen towel. Then you need to remove the bones from the berries. This is the only drawback of this recipe, since this procedure will take quite a lot of time, which is not suitable for all housewives. There are several ways to do this.

  • Remove seeds manually.
  • Rub the dogwood through a sieve.
  • Pour boiling water over the fruits, blot with a napkin and crush with a crush. Rub the resulting mass through a metal sieve. If you prefer pitted jam, then the berries can be cut into pieces and wait until they are evenly distributed in the syrup.

In this case, you can skip the last step and immediately transfer the jam into containers without cooling and reheating. Do not cook confiture over high heat, as the berries may fall apart.
