Gaba tea from the oolong family belongs to exceptional varieties. This variety of tea is very young, but today it is considered one of the most valuable. Admirers of tea "Gaba" are all over the world.
Story
Tea "Gaba" is very different from other elite varieties of drinks. Its main feature, for which admirers fell in love, is that it combines those properties that cannot be found in any other tea. It is for this reason that the cost of this drink is quite high. "Alishan Gaba" is the full name of the tea. It is developed according to a special technology, which was invented by a professor from Japan Tsushido.
It happened in the last century, and specifically in 1987. As a result of a number of studies and the use of various types of treatments, the professor came to the conclusion that with the help of special treatment, this drink is able to release gamma-aminobutyric acid.
The resulting acid in English sounded like Gaba, based on this tea got its current name. Modern science knows about all the properties of this acid. It is able to have a positive effect not only on the human nervous system, but also improve the performance of the respiratory system, enhance the work of brain cells, as well as improve memory and thinking. If this component in the body is small, sleep is disturbed, irritability may appear.
Due to the fact that acid is an indispensable component, scientists had to develop a special technology for making tea.
Manufacturing
This magnificent oolong grows in the mountains of the Alishan region, which is located in Taiwan. There are ecological tea plantations. The drink itself, after preparation, receives a light color, as for taste, it has a slight sourness, which can resemble a wine taste. Like all other mountain teas, this oolong has a honey flavor. Tea leaves are harvested four times in one year.
Pickers carefully collect only the top leaves and carefully put them in a basket, as they contain the most useful components and oils. After the harvest is harvested, it is carried in a wicker container to production. Not far from the factory, the sheets are laid out on canvases to dry in the sun. After that, the fermentation process begins, while oxygen is completely blocked and nitrogen is used. This process takes about 10 hours.
When the fermentation work is completed, each tea leaf is rolled by hand and packaged. Since this type of tea is the most valuable, the government of Japan and Taiwan protects the accuracy and consistency, and most importantly, the quality of production. It is authentically known that initially the production technology belonged to Japan, but then it was transferred to Taiwan, since the necessary plantations were located closer.
The thin technological process of production has recently been simplified. Now tea leaves are treated with acid, thanks to this approach, the finished tea has a much higher percentage of GABA.
