Roasted Peaches Recipes
Baked peaches have not yet gained popularity with us, but have always enjoyed it in Western countries. This dish originated in Italy. Such a dessert can be prepared in many ways, besides, it is much healthier than many other modern sweets and does not contain many calories.
Oven or microwave?
Peaches baked in the oven retain their aroma and taste as much as possible, as well as useful substances. The oven has a milder heat effect than the microwave. Fruits that have undergone just such a heat treatment are perfectly combined with various curds, creams, syrups and honey.
You can cook peaches in the microwave when there is a shortage of time. Wherein it is important not to use too high temperatures when cooking fruit.
How to cook in the oven?
This recipe is quick and easy to prepare. This dish is perfect as a sweet dessert in addition to morning porridge.
For such a dish you will need:
- peaches themselves - about 3-4 pieces (you do not need to bake too many fruits, if you are cooking only for yourself or for a small family, it is better to take one peach per person);
- curd mass - about 200-250 grams (it can be a mixture of cottage cheese with dried fruits or with honey / jam);
- oil for greasing the mold.
Peaches should be washed, dried with a paper or regular towel and cut in half, removing all the bones before that. It is advisable to turn on the oven at the same time and heat it to 180 degrees.Then you need to take a teaspoon and take out a little pulp from the middle of each fruit.
Do not leave a thin peel, in which case the fruit may fall apart. Having finished the process, you need to start cooking the curd mass.
Curd mass can be made from various ingredients to suit your taste. In addition to cottage cheese, it can be semolina, yogurt, dried fruits, nuts, honey, and even small pieces of marmalade or chocolate. It is only important to ensure that the mixture remains thick. For better mixing, you can use a blender.
You need to fill the hollow part of the fruit halves with the curd mass. The main thing is not to "overdo it" with the quantity. The two halves of the fruit should "close" freely. After that, they grease the baking paper with oil and place “blanks” on it, after putting the halves on top of each other. Desserts are placed in an already preheated oven and baked for no more than 20 minutes (until a light blush and softness of the fruit).
It is best to serve such a dish with sweet thick yogurt, after pouring it with honey, and preferably as a whole, and not in halves. Nuts with dried fruits (of course, in small quantities) will also be useful.
This is just the so-called "skeleton" of the recipe for roasting peaches. You can add eggs with sugar to the curd mass for an even richer and sweeter taste. Then baked peaches will taste more like tartlets.
You can also experiment with serving the dish, decorating it with mint, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt with various additives, or even liquid chocolate.
How to cook in the microwave?
Baking peaches in the microwave is just as easy as baking them in the oven. In this case, the amount of soiled dishes will be much less.
Required Ingredients:
- peaches (2-3 pieces, as in the case of the oven, you should not take too many fruits);
- butter (100 grams);
- honey (80 grams);
- sugar (50 grams);
- a pinch of salt.
As in the above recipe, whole peaches can be cut in half and the pits removed after washing and drying. Interestingly, this recipe is suitable for cooking both whole peaches and “halves” of fruit. If you cook a whole peach, you will end up with a fruit covered in a fragrant sweet "gravy".
Honey, salt, sugar and butter are mixed in one container and put in the microwave for 1 minute at medium power. This is done in order to make the ingredients liquid and thereby mix them into a single mass. Then the peaches are smeared with this sweet "gravy" and put in the microwave for 1 minute at medium power. You need to repeat this circle several times, after each time lubricating the fruit. They need to be brought to a state of softness.
This recipe also welcomes the "experimental spirit". In the "gravy" you can add various sauces such as chocolate or mint, coconut. Butter can be replaced with olive oil.
What to serve with?
Refreshing mint drinks go well with such a dessert in the summer, and warm cocktails with freshly squeezed juices in the cold season. On fruits, you can apply air cream or pre-cooked meringue. Airy Viennese waffles are also perfect as an addition to the dish.
The main thing is to remember that cooking of any scale is a platform for experimentation. The sweet and delicate taste of peach will delight and cheer up everyone. And different variations of additional components will help you find the "same" combination that you like.
