- The tall shrub has small dark green leaves.
- The first fruits are formed at the level of 8 leaves, the next fruit ovaries are evenly distributed on the bush every 2 leaves.
- Requires constant removal of stepsons that have reached a length of 5-7 cm, although there are few of them.
- This variety is early maturing. The ripening period in the open field is up to one hundred days, and in the greenhouse - even less.
- Having relatively strong shoots, the tomato requires a mandatory garter of branches.
- The brushes are plentiful, have up to six tomatoes.

- The shape of the fruit is round, even, with a thick skin, the tomatoes have a fleshy structure, the seed chambers are filled with pulp and seeds, the fruits are almost the same size.
- The variety has a long shelf life; under the influence of changes in temperature and humidity, the fruits can be stored without deforming for up to three weeks. Due to the dense peel, which protects against damage, it is well transported.
- A freshly picked tomato does not have excellent taste, but if you let it lie for about ten days, it acquires the classic taste of a tomato.
- "President" has a high yield - about nine kilograms per square meter.
- This hybrid is highly resistant to diseases such as late blight, Alternaria and others.
- Tomato can be used both for salads and for preservation.
- "President" is able to tolerate temperature extremes well, weather changes, such as sudden heat or cold, have little effect on fruit formation.
There is also a subspecies "President 2 F1", which is a subspecies of the "President F1" tomato and has almost identical characteristics. Following the intention of the breeders, "President 2 F1" was planned as an improved version of the variety.
Advantages and disadvantages
"President F1" has gained great popularity among vegetable growers due to the fact that it is grown both in open areas and in greenhouses, which is one of the positive aspects of the variety. Other advantages include:
- high yield;
- excellent appearance and taste of tomatoes;
- long shelf life and good transportability;
- low susceptibility to diseases and unpretentiousness of the variety;
- the possibility of wide use of fruits.
"President" can be cultivated throughout Russia, regardless of climatic conditions and external environmental influences.
Along with the advantages, there are some disadvantages of the variety. These include several characteristics:
- plant height requires regular tying;
- needs to install props, otherwise the brush with a lot of heavy fruits may break off;
- a freshly picked tomato does not have sufficient taste, which appear after a short storage in a dark place.
The predominance of advantages over the disadvantages of the variety made the "President" a very popular and widespread culture.
Landing
It is necessary to start growing seedlings at least one and a half months before planting in the ground. For good and rapid growth of seedlings, good lighting and humidity are necessary, there should be at least 10 hours of light, so additional lighting is required.
"President" is demanding on the soil, it must be rich in nutrients, at the same time not be oversaturated with them. This is achieved by introducing humus, wood ash, peat, fertilizers.
Caring for seedlings is no different from growing seedlings of other varieties of tomatoes. Picking is carried out after the formation of two true leaves in larger boxes or separate cups. Seedlings are planted in open soil when the stem is strong enough, at least 8 leaves or even a flower ovary appear on it. The frequency of planting tomatoes is no more than 4 bushes per square meter, which ensures sufficient lighting and ventilation.
Care
So that in the presented variety, as in many other hybrid varieties, all the advantages could manifest themselves as best as possible, it is necessary to strictly adhere to certain rules for its cultivation.
- Feeding is done frequently and in large quantities. Tomato prefers both mineral and organic fertilizers, which alternate with foliar top dressing. Fertilizers are applied to moist soil, usually after watering.
- This variety needs to be watered a lot and often. The plant extracts nutrients in dissolved form from water, so a lack of it can adversely affect the quantity and quality of tomatoes.
- Mulching and loosening the soil under the bush is constantly carried out to avoid the occurrence of diseases and mold, weed removal.
- To achieve high yields, the bush should consist of 1-2 stems, as recommended by the variety manufacturer.
- Pasynkovanie is done constantly.
- The long stem requires tying as needed.
- For optimal fruit ripening, the number of brushes should not exceed 8 on one bush, the rest of the ovaries are removed.
- To prevent the occurrence of infections, several times during the ripening period, chemical treatment is carried out, which stops during the formation and ripening of tomatoes. In the process of fruit ripening, treatment, if necessary, is preferable to carry out folk methods: soap solution, copper sulphate, wood ash.
- In greenhouse cultivation, it is better to carry out regular and frequent ventilation of the room, since this variety is prone to late blight.
- Although the "President F1" has immunity to various diseases, we must not forget about the prevention of tomatoes from pest attacks.When growing vegetables in greenhouses, there is a risk of greenhouse whiteflies. In this case, it is necessary to sprinkle the soil under the bush with hot pepper. And in the process of cultivation in the soil, slugs or spider mites may appear. A solution of soap will help get rid of them, with which you need to wash the ground around the plant.
Tomato ripening occurs a maximum of 65 days after planting in the ground or greenhouse. It is necessary to collect ripe tomatoes in a timely manner, as the brushes can break under the weight of the fruit.
Subject to the rules of cultivation and favorable weather conditions, the President F1 tomato variety can bring a crop of up to eight kilograms from one bush. Harvest can be well preserved in a cool room and at normal humidity.
