It is easy to remove the skin, it is enough to make a cross incision on the top of the fruit and scald it with boiling water. After the skin is removed without any extra effort. After that, you will need to chop all the tomatoes into a homogeneous mass and pass through a sieve to get rid of the seeds.
To make the process a little easier, you can simply grate the tomatoes, leaving the skin, and then pass through a sieve. - Next, add exactly four tablespoons of sugar and mix everything thoroughly. Cook over low heat for another twenty minutes, allowing the mass to thicken and the additives to dissolve completely.
- During this time, you need to prepare the basil and garlic. For such a mass, you will need one medium bunch of basil, you can take green or purple, more tart. And four to five cloves of garlic.
- Grind greens together with garlic in a blender. If there is no blender at home, then the garlic can be passed through a grater, and the greens finely chopped. By the way, you can dry a bunch of basil a little in advance, and then just rub the leaves in your palms.
- Add greens and garlic to the puree, then forty milligrams of table (non-concentrated) vinegar and cook everything together for exactly ten minutes. Then we put it in a prepared container and roll it up.
In the event that you do not want or do not know how to roll up blanks for the winter, then you can simply freeze the finished product.
- Pre-ripe and washed tomatoes should be divided into two equal halves, put on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and sent to the oven for exactly an hour. The temperature should not be more than one hundred and eighty degrees.
- After that, let them cool a little and rub through a sieve, immediately getting rid of the seeds and skin.
- Puree is ready. Now you can put it into molds. For example, small molds for baking cupcakes made of silicone are ideal.
As soon as the puree is completely frozen, the blanks can be removed from the molds and stored in one large box or bag. Thus, you will already have a portion of tomato puree ready.
