    • Prepare a solution at the rate of 1 teaspoon of citrus juice to 1 glass of water, and soak large jewelry in it.
    • Dip apples in citrus-flavoured lemonade.
    • Immerse fruit in salted water - a pinch of salt per liter. Remove and rinse with plain water after 5 minutes.
    • Use powder from ascorbic and citric acid. Sliced ​​apples are sprinkled with this mixture before cooking. It is not necessary to remove it from fruits.

    What to cut?

    To cut apples into slices - thin slices or circles, you can use a sharp stainless steel kitchen knife. From other metals, apples may darken.

    Carving professionals use a whole arsenal of different knives and accessories in their work:

    • Thai and sickle-shaped knife - the main tools of the master;
    • knives for cutting grooves and intricate floral ornaments with blades of various shapes: from round to rectangular;
    • spoons to remove the pulp and core.

    To create the first works, the masters advise using the most common table knife. Unlike kitchen knives, it is more flexible and comfortable to operate.

    Plate decoration

    It is very easy to make a beautiful cut of apples on a plate.

    The first way is "Rows".

    • Wash and dry apples well.
    • Cut the fruit into 2 identical halves.
    • Remove the stem and core.
    • Lay the apple cut side down and cut into slices no more than 5-6 mm thick.
    • Connect the cut slices together as if they were one half of an apple.
    • Carefully transfer the chopped slice to a plate, trying not to move the pieces, and place on the edge of the dish.
    • Hold the slices with your hand on one side, preventing them from moving.Stretch the slices from the other side of the slice evenly with your fingers in a row one after another so that the pieces overlap.
    • Sprinkle the finished row with lemon juice and start making the next one.
    • You can continue to make rows of apples in a contrasting color, or alternate with other fruits: oranges, kiwi, bananas.

    The second way is Rose.

    • Take apples.
    • Cut one part of the apples into round slices 2 mm thick, and cut the other half into halves.
    • Treat the petals with citrus juice and start stacking in a circle on a plate.
    • First, we overlap large petals, one row on top of the other.
    • Closer to the center of the "rose" we lay the halves.
    • The lower part of the previous row is carefully closed by the next.
    • Make the middle of the "rose" from several slices rolled into a roll.
    • To make the apple petals in the middle of the flower more flexible and take the desired shape, you can lower them for 2 minutes in boiling water.

    A wonderful dessert is ready. Don't forget to drizzle with lemon juice. Before serving, you can lightly powder the “rose” with powdered sugar. The petals will look velvety and become a welcome treat.

    Making figurines

    Do-it-yourself apple figurines will not leave guests indifferent.

    • Take an apple of the right shape.
    • Cut the fruit in half.
    • We cut each half again into 2 equal parts: we got 4 identical slices.
    • Carefully remove the core.
    • We take a quarter. We put the slice on the cut side, retreat 5 mm from the edge. We make an incision along at a right angle, without cutting through the apple to the end.
    • We put a slice on another cut barrel and make exactly the same incision on the other side. It turned out to be a smaller piece. Carefully remove it from the quarter.
    • We work with a new slice further. We also put it on the cut side and make a shallow incision, stepping back 5 mm from the edge, at an angle of 90 degrees on one side and the other.
    • The new part is carefully shifted and removed. Cut out the next one.
    • You will get 4 pieces. If the apple is large, perhaps more.
    • Now the finished elements need to be assembled. We take the largest part, put the second one on it, shifting approximately 1 cm from the edge of the first. We put the third and last part in the same way, with a shift on the previous slices. The first swan wing is ready.
    • We make the second wing.
    • Finished parts - wings, lay out on a dish. Spray with juice.
    • From the remaining quarter we cut out the neck - an arcuate strip 5 mm wide and insert it between the wings.

    The method by which the wings are cut out is called "leaves". Using this technique, you can create fruit slices in the form of a fantasy flower or star.

    No children's party is complete without fruit. And if these are not just ordinary slices, but original decorations or funny figurines of animals, children will eat fruits with pleasure. Consider step by step the preparation of unusual figures.

    "Crab"

    • We put the apple with the tail up, cut lengthwise into 3 equal round parts.
    • From the middle part of the apple we will make the front claws. To do this, cut the fruit into three sticks. The middle one is a stub, throw it away. We leave two seeds for the eyes. For the remaining 2 bars on the inside, stepping back from the edge, cut out two wide cloves in the middle. The resulting detail resembles the letter M.
    • We make the rear claws. Place half an apple cut side down and cut into thin slices. We divide the slices into two equal handfuls, put them parallel to each other on a plate.We lay out the slices compactly, in a fan, connecting the ends on one side.
    • Put the front claws on a plate.
    • We place the head on top, closing the ends of the slices.
    • We make eyes from seeds, pressing them into the pulp.
    • "Crab" is ready. Refresh it with lemon juice.

    "Herringbone"

    The “Christmas tree” assembled from pieces of apples will delight children not only at the New Year’s time, but it will also be a welcome table decoration at any time of the year.

    • Prepare clean washed apples, grapes, long carrots, toothpicks.
    • Cut apples of different colors into cubes 10-15 mm thick and sprinkle with juice.
    • Separate the grapes from the branches.
    • We make the base for the Christmas tree: cut off the bottom of a large apple for stability.
    • We stick toothpicks into the bottom of the carrot, and with their help we connect it with the apple base. The trunk is ready.
    • We string cubes of apples and grapes on toothpicks, alternating them in color.
    • We stick fruit mini-skewers into the base of the "Christmas tree", and then, gradually climb the carrot trunk up to the crown.
    • The fruit tree is ready.

    Sticking toothpicks into the pulp of an apple and carrots with force is not worth it. It will be difficult for children to get a treat. Just enough to keep the decor in place.

    "Flower"

    • Take a bright red apple.
    • Lay the tail up, cut off the side you like.
    • The thickness of the slice should be at least 4-5 cm.
    • Choose a flower shaped cookie cutter.
    • Squeeze a flower out of a piece of apple with a mold.
    • Use a marker cap to mark the center.
    • With a toothpick, scratch a line from the middle to the edges of the groove, exposing the light flesh.
